The writer i like most is Lu Xun ( 鲁迅 his pen name) Born in Shao xin, Zhejiang province, Lu Xun was named Shu Ren(周 樹人) it meant "to nurture a person". He was the eldest of four brothers. The Chou family was very well-educated.
Lu Xun was educated at schools for western knowledge and languages,for example: English, German, reading, amongst some translated books. On a Qing government scholarship , Lu Xun left for Japan in 1902. He first attended the Kobun Gakuin , a preparatory language school for Chinese students attending Japanese universities.
One of his essay I like most is "Mr Fujino"(藤野先生). When he studied in Sendai Medical Speciality School that wanted save more and more people's health in the future in Japan ,have a very closed relationship with his teacher,Mr Fujino.There were a few things came up to him that he wrote it in the essay.One day after class, one of his instructors screened a documenting imminent execution of an alleged Chinese spy during the Russo-Japanese War . Lu Xun was shocked by the complete apathy of the Chinese onlookers; he decided it was more important to cure his compatriots' spiritual ills rather their physical diseases.
"At the time, I hadn't seen any of my fellow Chinese in a long time, but one day some of them showed up in a slide. One, with his hands tied behind him, was in the middle of the picture; the others were gathered around him. Physically, they were as strong and healthy as anyone could ask, but their expressions revealed all too clearly that spiritually they were calloused and numb. According to the caption, the Chinese whose hands were bound had been spying on the Japanese military for the Russians. He was about to be decapitated as a 'public example.' The other Chinese gathered around him had come to enjoy the spectacle."( from his essay 'Mr Fujino')
After that he gave it up and went to Tokyo in spring 1906, he came under the influence of scholar and philologist Zhang taitan and with his brother Zuoren, also on scholarship, published a translation of some East European and Russian Slavic short stories that he really wanted change Chinese people's spirit by those western Literature.
Then he backed to China for living because he was not successful that no body can understand his spirit and only a few people bought his books, he began to write novels at that time.Lu xun's novels work quantity are not many, the significance is actually significant. Lu Xun concentrated the vision to the social lowest level, described these daily life condition and the energetic condition. Chairman Mao (毛 澤東)said he was the general of Chinese culture revolution,he was not only the greatest writer but also the great thinker and the great revolutionary , he was bravest, was firmest, was most faithful, the most zealous unprecedented national hero. Lu Xun's direction is the Chinese nation new culture direction.
Maybe one person's power is weak, but he could take all people's spirits together.That was what he did, i am proud of him.

Very Interesting Chris. How did you first learn of Lu Xun? High school literature classes? Are any of his books translated into English? I am still not clear exactly what he thought was the weakness in Chinese character. Could you explain that a little more? Also, I need to tell you to be sure to cite your source when you get information. Do not copy from Wikopedia or any other internet source without proper documentation. I read your blog and seems intersting, I chose to write on your question, because there is a writer that I have collected all his books. His name is Dan Brown, he might be no popular on your country, he is american, and a controversial writer. From his books I will talk of one which is the famost it is called The Da Vinci Code. I don't know about religion from china, yet, this book is a novel, that explain some secrets of the Catholic religion. As a novel I am not quite sure if everythin that he says is true or not, however, it capted my attention, that devored the book reading it.
I know tha Leonardo Da Vinci was a painter,and, he hide on his paints those church's secrets. You may think by know, what are those secrets? The Vaticane, the main Catholic church, located in Italy, has shown Christ as a single man, who died for peace in the world, howeve, what Dan Brown bases his book at is that, Christ was not single, he got married with a woman, they had a daughter, they were like a normal couple.
When I was little, I used to go to church, and, I learned to follow what the Vaticane says, nevertheless, now I am confussed because if what Dan Brown reveals on his book is true, it means that I have been following a lying, although, that is what they make us think.
He also has another interesting book which writes about, tha white house, in Washington DC. It is very full of suspense, it is a debate between two presidential candidates, and, they are so bad enemies, and each try to push down the other one, by doing extreme actiones. By the other hand, he writes about the NASA, and reveals secrects as well, I can't tell you the secrets otherwise you won't read the book. I recommend to you to read some from this author, it is fascinating, it involves you in the story, that you read and read until you discover the misteries.

I think it’s fair enough to say that I'm not a big fan of reading, however, there is one author that I like to read for and that is Agatha Christy. Since I was a kid I've seen my mother and my older brother reading for her and decided one day to try. I have read most of her novels “at least all the ones that translated into Arabic". One of my favorite characters of hers is Hercule Poirot. He is a Belgian detective that solves mysterious crimes. I heard from my brother that he dies in the last novel by a criminal and before he got killed, he kept a note or a way for the police to find the criminal. I don't really know if that is true or my brother was just joking. Last year I decided to read that novel to find out what really happened, but this time I'm reading it in English. The only problem is that it was written in a very difficult language since its old.
Agatha Christy could be my favorite novelist but she is also the only writer that I truly read for. I've tried different Novels and writers; she was the only one that grabbed my intention.
